How you create your Cash Runway account depends on which launch mode we are in right now. Both paths land you in the same product, with the same 14-day free trial.
Invite-only mode (launch default)
At launch, Cash Runway opens in invite-only mode so we can onboard cohorts carefully. Public sign-up links route to the waitlist.
Join the waitlist
- Go to cashrunway.ai/waitlist.
- Enter your email and optional name.
- We send back a confirmation email and your position in the queue.
You also get a unique referral link of the form https://cashrunway.ai/waitlist?ref=<your-code>. Every person who joins through your link bumps your position up the queue, so share it with anyone who would find a 13-week forecast useful.
Redeem your invite
When a batch is released, you receive an email with a one-time invite link (valid for 14 days). Click it, set a password, and you land on the onboarding wizard.
Referral rewards
If someone you referred upgrades to a paid plan, you automatically get a free month credited to your Stripe account — stackable across multiple referrals.
Open sign-up mode (post-launch)
Once we flip the switch to open sign-up, the process is the same flow without the queue:
- Go to cashrunway.ai/sign-up.
- Enter your email and a password.
- Verify your email and log in.
Any invite links issued during the invite-only window remain redeemable.
Your 14-day free trial
Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial on the Wallet plan, which unlocks the full app:
- The complete in-app experience — dashboard, forecast, AR insights, budget, and trends
- Connect multiple Xero companies
- 250 agentic API queries per rolling 5-hour window (the Wallet allowance)
No credit card up-front. From day 11 you'll see a gentle banner reminding you to add billing. At trial end, a Personal account drops to Free (10 queries / 5h, agentic API only — the app prompts you to upgrade); a Team account needs a card on file to keep its paid seats.
